IRP
- 2004
census of Padre Cocha

In February of 2004, IRP conducted
the second census of Padre Cocha with the purpose to assess the overall
quality of life and productive uses of the available energy supplied through
the RAPS system, which has been operating in Padre Cocha since October
of 2003.
The census, which included 339 households,
served to measure the progress achieved from the first census conducted
in March of 2003 (319 households). Preliminary results indicate significant
changes in ownership of basic household items. In the last twelve months:
- the number of households that own
a refrigerator doubled in size
- the number of households with freezers
tripled
- the number of households with fans
increased five times
- the number of households with radios
incrased by 57.7%
- the number of households with 14"
color TV sets almost doubled
